Sometimes You Just Get Lucky

I went fishing last Saturday on Fidalgo island with some friends.

That's a picture of the trophy minnow I caught after a full day of fishing. I'm thinking about having it mounted.

We made out a little better the next day.

Here are two of my other hunter-gatherer adventures for those who are interested:

Foraging
Hunting

It's official. The goatee is IN!

Did you only use rod and reel? I was at a primitive skills gathering recently at which alternative fishing methods were discussed. Cool stuff. Nice catches.

The fish are okay, but the catch of the day is holding them. *wink*

I like the picture! You might use it to replace the "regular" one, which has much less character.

That's a good photo Stephan!

I have a very simple question that I'm hoping someone here will know the answer to. I'd like to learn about fermenting, soaking, sprouting in order to make grains etc. more nutritious. Can anyone recommend a site or a book for learning this?

That minnow looks rather like a very small yellow perch.
